Mysore Pak was first crafted in the royal kitchen of the Mysore Palace over a century ago. A happy accident — a confectioner experimenting with sugar, besan and ghee — and a legend was born.

In the year 1935, on the command of His Highness Maharaja Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar, the royal chef Kakasura Madappa was asked to prepare a sweet delicacy for a royal feast.
